Default 2 nd opinion on estand camo needed

Hello gents,

I would like to get some more opinions on this helmet please.

http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=606793

In my opinion it is a legit camo helmet which has been partially liberated to see if the decals are still there. I think there also was a rubber band or some kind of device around the helmet when the camo was painted on. I'm thinking about giving it a chance for display with a bread bag strap. Of course we don't need to talk about the cover, a clear reproduction in my eyes.

Thanks in advance and greetings
Garry

I think you are spot on Garry, but it's a bit pricey for my tastes.

Exterior paint is really rough on this old girl. Looks like it had a bread bag strap on it at one point, thus the ghosting, but who knows. Inside of the helmet looks pretty good.

Hello gents,
Thanks a lot for the additional views on that helmet. Good to hear that my thoughts on this in means of authenticity are alike. I also think that there was a bread bag strap on this helmet while being camoed. You can clearly see the remains of the buckle on one side of the ventilation hole and around the shell. Price is also what scares me at the moment. I'm happy for more thoughts on this one. Thanks and greetings Garry

Looks like it's had a light spray of lacquer or polyurethane, IMO.

Great to get the various opinions on this one folks.

Regarding price, please advise what is more 'agreeable', selling this on behalf of someone and difficult to know where to start. If any of the forum members are thinking of buying, want to ensure that they will be happy with what they are buying, which of course includes the price.

I suppose you can do like all the rest of the estand sellers......start high and come down gradually until someone bites. It doesn't seem like many buyers have been biting in the last few weeks. That should tell the sellers something.

I believe it is not allowed to sell on the E-stand on behalf of someone else and rightly so.

The cover is fake BTW and has no place in the ad imo.
