I am thinking of selling off my collection. The thing is I want to ask some advice. Times are a bit hard and I do not have to sell right now. Should I wait until the economy turns around and prices go back up?

How whould you adivse to sell a collection? Thanks and please feel free to move this thread if I put it in the wrong catigory.

Hi mate.

Know where your coming from, sold off 80-90% of my collection approx 4 years ago when times were hard. Started collecting again earlier this year and mein gott haven't prices risen in less than 5 years - items I was selling 4 years ago were nearly double (if not more) in price.

It all depends on what you are going to be selling, your top end stuff will go pretty much quickly (especially on the WAF) but the normal run of the mill stuff seems to hang around until you offer it at pretty much rock bottom prices.

If you are going to sell, do it yourself rather than selling to a dealer. They are finding it as hard as anyone else at the moment and they are either not buying or will only offer a modicum price for your wears. If you can get away with it, eBay is great as a selling tool, however, you can't advertise anything with swastika's as that's a big no no with eBay.

You should pay the 25 USD Association membership fee and sell on the Estand. Only you can tell when the time is right as it depends upon your situation as only you can know it.
