Panzer II and Marder II back home
Quoting Don Moriarty : "I've just learned that the Armor & Cavalry Museum (Fort Benning, Georgia) is now the proud 'owners' of a Panzer II & Marder II.
These were two of APG's former collection pieces that were loaned out to Germany (Munster and Sinsheim)
They recently arrived in the US from England (Kevin Wheatcroft) and were shipped to Ft Benning."

I hope they put them inside - I don't know what the new armor museum is going to look like, but anything beats them rusint away at APG.

Back home as in with their owner. I understand they have been under new management since 1945...

Good preservation of the historical vehicles...

Seeing as how they are still on a transport trailer I would imagine that the rust/aging we see happened either during their voyage across the Atlantic or while they were waiting to be transported?

Very glad to see these two make their way back home.

Dont worry - every other place is a better home than a German museum!
