Default French Awards

Here is a nice Legion of Honor.

Does anyone have a commander's neck badge?

Default Legion of Honor

Here is an excellent Officer's badge to the Legion of Honor. This one is in real "GOLD" and the enamel is high quality and the wreath in in high releaf but doesn't show in this image but several of the leaves are raised.
This one has a nice case with owner's name.

My Commander's Badge is nothing spectacular, a Type XII:

Here are two Type X Chevalier badges, showing the manufacturer's variations of this longest awarded type:

Here's a cased privately-made Officer's Badge dating from the 1890s or thereabouts. The centre is in gold.

Those are nice. There are so many variations of the Legion of Honors that one could spend a lifetime collecting them.

How much are the commander grade badges Third Rep. selling for these days? I need one.

Hello ccj,

do you mean the last type from 1951 to ...?
I've got one commander in bronze gilt with neck ribbon.
If you mean this type, please send a mail. I would sell or trade it.
At the moment they are at about 180 EUR in bronze gilt and at about 340 EUR in silver gilt.

If you are interested you have mine for 160 EUR or I can trade it for another medal. Please let me know.

Compare this page of one of the makers:

Best regards
