The new Gorget Bible - "Ringkragen und Brustschilder im Dritten Reich"

My copy arrived today & I couldn't wait to sit down an look through it - all 700+
pages. What a pleasure it was & will often be repeated, so that I can learn more
about the amazing contents.

It is a collector's & military historian's book - and is a Must for your military
reference library. Each chapter is full of previously unpublished photos & period
documentation - then there are the Gorgets themselves, seen from all angles - front
and reverse.

Wim Saris' Gorget book certainly sets a very high standard, which is exactly what
we need in the collecting community.

CONGRATS to Wim. A definitive "Gorget Book" is what is needed, and is long
overdue.

Best, Dave L / dblmed

Will there be an English text version?
My wife speaks fluent German but I would only get on her tits asking what this or that means all the time.

Hello all,

My signed and numbered copy (#31) arrived yesterday! I am not really a gorget collector per say but this book has me really leaning towards picking up a few for my collection. I can not really read it (I can translate bits and pieces) but the wonderful color photos and brief descriptions are enough to help me out with the 'lower end' gorgets that I would be looking at collecting.

Wim, much like your other books you have set the bar very high! Congrats on yet another feather in your cap!

Chrys

An absolutely stunning reference on gorgets/ringkraken done in the typical Saris style----thoroughly researched and documented with supporting period pictures. There are many dagger, headgear, and medal reference books; but this is THE only book needed on this topic. Thank you Wim!

I keep finding new things in this book.

And even though I do not read German, I am enjoying all of the hundreds of pictures, and can make out enough to keep coming back to look at it again and again.

Hope Mr Saris does not mind if I show some of my favorite pages.....

No Ron, its okay!
You have my allowance with what you have shown with these pages to the members of the Wehrmacht-Awards Forum, but I think it is more then sufficient/adequate. The publisher will not agree with more of them. Those that are interested should make a (quick) decision for buying the book, as the edition is very limited.
The shown pages may give some idea. The rest of the 692 pages in the book are likewise or even better!
