Hi,
What organisation is this cap with its huge eagle from .Any ideas ?

Looks like a postwar cap that someone stuck a navy pith helmet eagle on.

Perhaps there's a clue in the interior of the cap, a logo on the inside top or the sweat band?

I believe it is an extremely rare cap for the Belgian SA Marine Police.

Tom is right in as much that its a police cap.When I came to pay for it,a woman in the office read to me what the seller had entered it as.A German police cap.So he knew what it was.
When it was catalogued,they described it as a German military peaked officers cap.
A mistake that lost someone some money.

The question remains who that someone is... I would ike to add that the metal wreath is NVA (East German) and the corkade West German...
