Default DIEPPE! Mannequins Make-up & Display

Hi to All,

As you will see, The Raid on Dieppe the 19th of August 1942 called operation Jubilee is became my unique collection theme. You could see some original items from the raid and some vets grouping & items here;

"DIEPPE! Helmets from the Raid"
http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=527724
"DIEPPE! Vets groupings & Tunics"
http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=529107

You could find enclosed some of the mannequins related to the Raid (Germans, Canadians, British & Americans) recently repainted/made-up by myself in anticipation of an upcoming exhibition next August for the 70th anniversary of the raid. i try to get the best visual unity as possible for try to reach a "museum" quality of presentation. For that exhibition, sets representing part of Dieppe streets, shingle beach reconstitution or wooden docks of Newhaven harbour are under construction to display the mannequins.

Hope you will like them & and it will make you want to visit Dieppe this summer...Welcme!

Best
Thierry

Stunning paintwork on the mannequins Thierry... wow!!!

Would be fantastic if you, like fellow WAF member NZMark could produce a thread on your painting techniques - a sort of step-by-step on a single mannequin......... Beautiful work.

I agree that would be great!

Are those mannequins old/vintage or modern?

Must say that your work is SUPERB and you do it in the classic and masterful way of the artist brush, once more magnificent.

I have done mannequin repaints for collectors, I use an airbrush and getting all the skin tones and details in a perfect and balance "blending" is not easy, your result show how the masters of the past....as well as those master miniature modelers of today that do all their amazing work by brush..can achive and proof of that are these great display mannequin pieces,once more...Bravo!
