Default C marking on a hi power magazine

Hi, Does anyone know what a C inside a circle on the spine of a WW2, WaA140 marked Hi power magazine means? I am considering buying it and was curious to know what that mark means, or if its post war. I have been on the hunt for a nice WaA140 marked mag for a while. Thanks,

PG-

I can not tell you what the marking indicates, but I can tell you the same marking appears on my WaA140 marked Hi Power mag as well. I have also seen this mark on other WaA140 mags, I have no idea the origin but I do believe it is authentic.

I have seen a long time ago a very late HP35 with brown plastic grips, from the b block.

It was found in a barn in Belgium in a P08 holster.

The magazine has no other stamp that this "c" without circle.

Do not know what this mean but it is for sure period.

I don't have a "C", but I do have "75" inside a rectangle on mine. They must be factory Inspector's marks, prior to getting the Waffenamt.

Cheers,

Bill

Default HP Mags

I have three wartime mags. One has Wa140 the 2nd has Wa140 and a "c" in a circle and the 3rd has only a C and a 7. The first two mags came with a Nazi wartime tangent pistol and the third came in a late war Nazi proofed version.
Hope that this helps.
Regards,
Dick
