It's post war enhanced. Probably G.I. with addition of tank (collar insignia) & cherry blossom.

The red cloth insignia I believe was for the IJA cavalry. You don't see the tank insig. every day. Couldn't tell you if the real deal, but if so, pretty uncommon.

I agree tank insignia is uncommon but doesn't belong on patch

I believe it's horse Artillery. I have a few of these sleeve patches and almost all seem to be cavalry related

Doesn't look good Elad.
The base could be original ...
The cherry definitely original ...
Everything else looks like creativity of "do-it-yourself" circle.
And this tank... What is it? Type "Sherman"?

Regards,
Nick

as others have said the patch shouldn't have the other badges on it, the blossom is most likely from a naval rank badge and the tanks badge is correct style for the collar badges on the type 45 / 5 uniforms. When I got mine it had IJA rank stars on it and another collar badge.

I think the common belief is that these came out of a Tailors / stores and were added to by whoever "liberated" them.

as for the question "And this tank... What is it? Type "Sherman"?" I believe it's probably suposed to be the type 89 or the 95 .

Delving further into the red cloth insignia I am a little mystified now as who exactly was supposed to wear such a patch? I definitely believe that is is horse related, but that is it. I originally said cavalry but when looking into the symbol, such a design was on "transport" sake cups as well as cavalry cups (correct me if I am wrong but isn't it supposed to be an obsolete form of a horse stirrup?) I read somewhere that it is the sybol of the IJA cavalry academy, but have not found other information about such an academy. I think Nakata's book has an illustration of this red cloth insignia in his IJA/IJN equipment ref. book, but alas, I do not have that book with me now. I have also seen it in pics. in the form of a metal collar insignia.
Great item regardless.

It is cavalry related as I have a photo of a trooper in the Atilla jacket with this as a collar badge (unfortunately I can’t find the scan of the photo at the moment).

Nakata does indeed have it pictured in his first book but as the collar badge with cross cannons (Page 77)
