The SS-Pz. Jg. Kp. 550 and SS-Pz. Jg. A. Abt. 2 entries are not original to this Soldbuch.

Unfortunately, another decent SS Soldbuch destroyed....

So are you saying the accompanying documents are fake as well, seeing as they refer to the units that you mention?

At first I was also a bit skeptical about the SS-Pz.Jg.Kp.550 entry.
The SS-Pz.Jg.Abt.16 was used at Kurmark to form the SS-Pz.Jg.Abt.32 from the "30 Januar". But further research learned me that the 3./SS-Pz.Jg.Abt.16 was indeed incorperated in the SS-Pz.Jg.Kp.550.
On the "Nachweis uber Sterbefall und Beisetzung eines Wehrmachtangehorigen" They also mention the SS-Pz.Jg.Kp.550 as last active unit.

About the SS-Pz.Jg.A.Abt.2 entry. Indeed in same pen and handwriting.
But on the "Artliche Benachrichtigung" this paper was ment to be send to the Truppenartz from the Pz.Jg.Ers.Abt.2.
With the Soldbuch also comes a SS-Feldpostletter from Edmund Send on the 26/12/1944 from Leer Ostfriesland with as returnadress 4./Pz.Jg.Abt.II and a Einlieferungsschein for a postpacket send by Edmund from Leer Ostfriesland on the 5/01/1945 and a post war letter from the father (12/1946) to the postoffice of Leer Ostfriesland regarding the postpacket send by his son that he never recieved, and a return letter from the postoffice from Leer Ostfriesland.

So Edmund must have been in Leer Ostfriesland between December 1944 and Januari 1945.

So at first I was also a bit concerned about the entry's, but a more detailed search from the hole groupe took most of it away.
But I'm sure not perfect about detecting all the fakes.

I should have been a little more specific in regards to my initial comment.

While I do not question that the 3./SS-Pz Jg. Abt. 16 was incorporated in the SS Pz. Jg. Kp. 550, etc., IMO the SS-Pz. Jg. Kp. 550 and SS-Pz. Jg. A. Abt. 2 entries on page 4 of this Soldbuch (and I definitely could be wrong here) look to be placed there after the fact (for the sake of completion) by someone who had indeed done his research. Both Unit entries may indeed be factually / technically correct, but (to me at least) give off some very bad vibes i.e. when they were entered into the Soldbuch...

For me documents are good, The 2 suspicius entries on Soldbuch are technically correct as say Hundy but IMO added after war. Difficult to proove that but bad vibration with the writting of these 2 entries.

Thanks for the help.

I have less problems with probably post-war technically and historically correct added entries .
As so, I consider this Soldbuch not completely ruined.
Especially since the document from the Lazarett Dillingen also mentions the Pz.Jg.Kp.550 as the last active unit.
