SD Man/SS Papers and Soldbuch
A few copies of files belonging to Gustav Banse. It appears he was a member of F.I. SD_Hauptamt , 3-11-36/1-2-39 and F.i. Stam Mitte/49 until being transfered to HSSP-Ostland sometime after the invasion of Russia. I think the HQ was in Riga, Latvia. He obtained the rank of Obersturmfuhrer on 20-4-44.
According to his file he joined the SA in 1925 with the number of 15579 and the NSDAP in 1930 with the number of 9461, although that number is also listed as his SS number. He was given the Golden Party Badge, SA Sports Badge, Totenkpf ring and another item I cannot read.
The soldbuch has the photo removed but a family photo from his file shows him with his total of 10 children according to his file. He went through the course at SS Junkerschule Braunschweig in 1943. He was wounded May 2, 1944 and then sent to SS Pz Gren Ausb.u Ers Btl. 35.
It was renamed a Grenadier Batl. and was located in Bruss West Prussia. It was the replacement battalion for 31 SS Div, Escort Batl RFSS, SS Jager Batl's 500,501,502 and 600. Also special service companies of the HSSP Russia.
The training batl became an alarm unit 2-1-45 and formed Kampfgruppe Joachim, Hauptsturmfuhrer Helmut Joachim. It saw combat 22-1-45 near Flatow. On the 26-1-45 it was placed under the 15 SS Waffen Gren Div. and fought near Immenheim, Grunhausen and Wilkenwalde. On 2-2, 3-2-45 it held the area near Bromberg, Landeck-Kuddow. It helped hold and stop the Soviets and the general of the 15th SS was awarded the Knights Cross. By the 6th of Feb it was relieved from the front and sent to the German/Danish border.

Banse's SS number is 9461 with a join date of 15. May 1930, his party number 15519 with a join date of 12. August 1925.
