Should take Dion up there with you when you go, its beautiful and the Germans have this Kerosene they serve in shot glasses that is god awful up to the fifth shot at least, then its good. Beautiful place and was under construction going back quite some time. Everyone should see that once.

Aren't you afraid of getting stuck in the elevator?? Looks like a good place to rattle off a flapper. Megan kelly would not feel self concious up there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Rt6vqki_eE

Jim...when my wife and I were there in 09 we stayed at the Turken. It was really great. I would recommend it to anyone going to the Obersalzburg area. It is pricey but definitely not to be missed and the self guided bunker tour is also very interesting. We bought several books on the area and read them before we got there so we had more than a casual knowledge of the area.
