Jacques, it is no Leutnant, it is a Sonderführer.

Thanx, it is obvious I am not a Luftwaffe collector. What differentiates it (green backing) from being field division to being a sonderfuhrer? Jacques

Hi Jacques,

I am sorry for the late reply.

The sonderfuhrer had three different collar insignia configurations:

The NCO levels wore the tabs with the broken green/silver piping and thread embroidered half wreaths.

The Leutnant through Hauptmann equivalent rankings had the heavy wire embroidered half wreath(with either a silver or gold piping, dependent upon the level of education- Paralegal versus a PhD specialty).

The Major through Oberst equivalent rankings had a similar construction(wire embroidery and same pipings) as the junior officers, but had a full wreath.

The specific ranking of the specialist is seen on the shoulder cords. In my case, the tunic is set up for an Oberleutnant equivalent official.

I hope that helps.

Regards
Paul

Steve,

Thank you for the kind words. I have been looking for an nco ranked admin tunic for a very long time!!! I am so thrilled to have such an awesome gift. I am still stumped at how difficult these are to find.
