Default MP40 Magazine Pouches

I saw these MP40 pouches advertised for sale as originals and need to know if they really are original WWII. I have ben fooled before on artificially aged fakes. These have two lines of horizontal stiching at the top on the back instead of the usual one row. The person who has them clains they came from a vet along with a damaged dewated MP40. Has anyone seen this maker code of S 41 before? Thanks, John

Thanks fellas. I suspected as much. I friend in Norway who collects MP40 pouches and has dozens of them thinks they are artifically aged fakes also.

Here is another pair I have had in my collection for 20 years. I got them with my first registered MP40. They came with 6 matching fxo-41 mags, a fxo-41 loader and cleaning brush and a beautiful fxo-41 MP40 in 95% + condition.

The Waffenamt Code on the pouches is WaA195 when viewed close up. I researched it on a list of know codes and found the following. WaA195 epf Karl Böcker Waldbröhl, Rhld. 1944. The same code appears on both pouches and I have had them for over 20 years.
