Default 4-place ribbon bar- mystery ribbon

Here is another recent acquisition. Can anyone identify the last ribbon? I assume that it is foreign- possibly Chilean?

Thanks
Pierce

Hi Pierce, another nice bar, and a nice combination of awards. Not sure what the last ribbon is, i've seen a few Chilean medals, but i can't remember seeing a blue/white/red ribbon like this?? There are quite a few countries who used this combo of colors, you could try posting it in the "international militaria" section, someone there will probably know it!!!

This was frequently used as a generic ribbon for several Chilean awards, both high-end and low-end ones (pretty much like the Tsarist Russian ribbon for the Order of St. George). Chile and Nazi Germany had very good relations during pre-war(Chilean Army still uses glassfiber Stahlhelms and German cut uniforms for parades) and the awarding between both countries of their awards was pretty common by the time. If you take a look at lots of Chilean high ranking officers´ and generals´ photos of the 30s, you´ll see at least one German award.

Now, back to topic, I´ve seen a very similar -if not identical- construction of the ribbon you show on your bar in some Chilean medals I´ve had and seen before. I always take special care at inspecting the ribbon when I get an award so it´s not too easy for me to forget those details.

Hope it helps!
