Default Ukraine Volunteer?

Hi Folks:
Totally enjoying reading the informative threads here. I have a lot to learn as I'm mostly a dagger guy. I was at a show yesterday and this guy brings this to me. It's the only decoration that he has left from his father. He believes that his father served as a volunteer in a Army unit formed of Ukraine volunteers upon occupation. Can any one identify this and or help me find out more about it. Thanks in advance for and advice or leads you can provide.
Paul

Sorry I have no other pics. Even a suggestion as to how or where I can find this would be appreciated.

Sorry, no idea.

Here's a link http://www.elitprofi.com.ua/en/ to a site with all of the official Ukrainian awards.

Hi, being admin of Galicia site, I am quite curious in your photo, however it is not showing. Can you post the picture again?

Which aspect of the topic of aristocracy are you interested in? There was no Prussian aristocracy in Galicia (Austria was never part of Prussia or vice versa). If its the question of German settelers in Western Ukraine - there were many people of all status moving in since 18C. As for nobility - during the austrian rule, the "german" nobility included german and local nobility which received the title of "von" or "riter" and became germanized. For example Ukrainian noble family Vasyl'kiv, under Austrian rule became Baron Von Vasyl'kiv.
