Default U-Boat Optics

Some I'd like to share.

Two 7x50 Zeiss U-Boatglas and a set of gummies (most likely not U-Boat though)

Two 7x50 UDF Bionos for the UZO torpedo firing control system on U-Boats

The bottom optic is a 37mm presure rated Flak Sight discussed here by mlspaul. I thought it was a 20mm sight. :

"Not 20mm. What you have there is a 1X40 (Opticotechna or Zeiss, depending on the code below ) for a Uboat 3.7cm Flak 42. This was the final antiaircraft gun developed for U-boats. And yes, it was "navalized" version of the Flak 42.

This was the final antiaircraft gun developed for U-boats. Adapted from the German army 37mm Flak 42, it had a further range and fired a much more powerful shell. The rate of fire was somewhat lower at 50 rounds per minute. "

Very very nice stuff , the UZO's some day perhaps I might get lucky .
The flak sight is amazing , a great collection - the UBootglas and Leitz hard to beat.

Default Thanks

Thanks Much Guys. Never thought I'd get into optics but really like these. I hope to top it off with a Kommandantenglas someday. Anybody have one out there?

Or maybe just a sextant to hold over....(Had to find some excuse to share this pic...always cracks me up.)
