Just goes to show that while most of the stuff on ebay is cr*p, You might find a little gem like this.

If you don`t mind me asking how much did you pick it up for?

A lot of stuff on Ebay is junk, but there are still some original items there. You just have to wade through a sea of junk to find a gem sometimes. I spotted this and immeadiatley made the lister an offer. I got it for under 100 euro, a real bargain considering the scarcity.

I also picked up the Jugendehrendienst triangle from Ebay, listed in the "Sports Memorablia" catagory. A very rare insignia that was difficult to document until an author and historian of sports in the third reich identified it for me and provided copies of period film and photos of it in wear.

This is a funny coincidence. I bought this Bann 786 Pless strap from Spencer at Victory Militaria about a year ago. I liked the fact if was from the Ost Oberschlesien Gebiet and the unique Kriegfriewiliege (War Volunteer) cord in red and white.

While surfing Ebay I spied this other Bann 786 that appeared to be the mate to this strap. I made the lister an offer and he accepted.

Now the pair is reunited after who knows how long that they were seperated. It's sort of cool to put a set back together and like a needle in a haystack finding a mate to HJ straps sometimes. Some good stuff can still be found in the sea of crap that is Ebay!

Another not so common strap that I picked up recently. This is one of the odd piping and numeral combinations that are sometimes seen on HJ straps. A Bann 80 Wiesbaden stap with red numeral and white piping. There is a lot of speculation as to what specialty this represents, possible early Striefendienst, fire defense, or just an odd ananomloy. Interesting nonetheless and not easy to find, I looked for one for some time.

Here is another pre 1934 strap that I have not posted here before. Interesting in that it had a number 41, which was removed and then a 5 sewn to it. This would be from the period when the Banns were named and not numbered, the number would be representative of the HJ Schar of the Bann. Possibly from Wesser-Ems Oldenberg during the time the HJ was part of the SA Gau structure due to the dual colored piping, I'm not positive. An interesting HJ strap nonetheless. These early HJ straps are huge in comparison to the later versions.

GREAT job on the collection!

Here is an addition to my Bann 201 Berlin Moabit collection of items that I've not posted here before. An Ausweis for the Bann and a General HJ strap for a Scharfuher. Norkus related items are tough to find.
