Pensacola Base is Airfield, so all of their labels would say that. They rebuild this piece, and put the label on the back, but they did not put any hours or anything else, if it was airplane they would put hours on it. So that was making me think it is from something else then airplane. But I am not expert, so I do not know.

Yes, it is an aircraft compass. As far as i know it wasn't used in any other vehicle. It was also called a pilot's compass. It's not unusual not to find the overhaul tags filled in. It very well could be after the compass was overhauled it wasn't re-installed. The markings show it was used by the Army Air Corps but the navy used the same compass. The Navy contract compass would have different markings but since they were interchangeable you can find Navy aircraft with an Army compass.
