Default Meaning of Title on Document

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what these initials mean?:

m.W.d.C.b

They are found beneath the position and rank title of a WMC document I have. This is stated as 'der Kommandierende General und Befehlshaber im Luftgau Norwegen'. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

regards,

Darren

m.W.d.G.b

mit der Wahrung der Geschäfte beauftragt....

Basically means assigned to keep the business! Or somone perhaps with a lower rank than that required to be CO of a unit but has temporarily been given the position until either another person is found or he is promoted.

/Ian

Hi Ian,

Thank you very much for your answer. I mistakenly gave a wrong letter, but apparently you are too sharp to be mislead! Very interesting meaning though.

regards,

Darren

Don't want to sound like a smartass, but I think the official version is:

mit [der] Wahrnehmung der Geschäfte beauftragt
