Here are my feeble attempts to capture the writing/markings on the front and rear. I tried to manipulate the photos to show the markings so the color is off a bit.

I really like those battle damaged NVA helmets !

the Polish M50 with the wire and and heavy shrapnel damage is an impressive display piece, thats my favorite, very interesting

The schrapnel damage is impressive. I have often pondered whether the damage on mine is from counter battery fire or tac air, given the size of the damage. Same with yours. Oh well, in most cases we'll never know.

nice collection of battle damaged helmets

so far Ive seen

Russian, Czech, Polish, East German

ever seen any of the Hungarian M50 helmets that were used by the North Vietnamese? seems like they would have had a few of those as well, I know they had some Hungarian AK's
