Just got a new piece:

A Breadbag in cut of the Bwundeswehr-Brotbeutel 56. Grey colour with ZB-Stamp in it.

I never saw any pic of it. Maybe it was manufactured between 1951 (the Wehrmacht-Style breadbag) and 1968 (the introduction of the later "Kleine kampftasche" style).

So who wore this style of shirt in green?

Team - These items were up for auction recently. I thought they might be of interest.

First up is an early THW dress tunic.

Frank - Nice piece!

On a slighty related note, back in 2004 I was traveling on A6 in southern Germany. During a rest stop, a THW convoy pulled into the parking lot.

One individual was wearing what looked like the standard "oliv" Bundeswehr combat belt. When I got closer however, I noticed it was the same gray color as your assault pack.

In any event, congratulations on finding such a nice collectable.

All the best - TJ

Team - This ZS tunic was up for auction recently. What I found unusual was the city patch, "Kiel", on the right shoulder.

All the best - TJ

A close-up of the ZS patch.

As the city patch was hand-applied and the ZS machine applied, does anyone think the city patch was an unauthorized addition?

Thanks - TJ

TJ,

At a guess I would say that someone "emhanced" this ZS tunic with the "Kiel" badge. There is a THW office in Kiel but I can not find any ZS office. There is a chance there was a ZS office there before they were disbanded but there is no reference to it on the net now.

Regards,

Gordon
