Date.......medals 482.jpg
One thing that always puzzles me is, why did Deumer mark their EK2's with the "3" mark, but their EK1's with the "L/11"???
Plus some EK1's are MM'd, while others of a similar age are'nt, whereas every EK2 i've seen has always been MM'd?? Anyone any thoughts on this??

Semi-open hingeblock, so not the earliest.....medals 492.jpg
Only down side to this one is a poor soldering job on the frames, its literally coming apart at the seams!!
Hope you enjoyed looking at them, they've certainly brightened up my (snowy) day -Nigel

Wel Nigel, to comment on your Deumer comment .... .

Deumer wartime EK1 :
* Unmarked - not sure (?)
* Marked with 3 ( in square box )
* Marked L/11 ( in square box )
* Marked L/11 ( without square box )
* Any others ... ???

Deumer wartime EK2 :
* Unmarked - not sure (?)
* Marked with 3 on the ring
* Marked with L/11 on the ring

As to what timeframe what marks were applied to which crosses, I have no knowledge.
It might " technically " be possible to find an 1957 EK1 marked 3 or 1957 EK2 marked L/11 but I havent seen one yet.

And BTW ... love that vaulted EK1 - gives a more worn and personal look.
