Hi Ciano

My best cumpliments for this comprehensive thread and also for your collection.

In thread # 92 you posed a doubt about the two red bars attached to the uniform. Can' they be time service bars, like those used in US uniforms ?

Best regards

Marcos

HI,

Here I am back again....

The MP, made several National Camps.
The aim was the Youth Indoctrination.
Nationalism,Fatherland,Honor,Catholicism,Disciplin ,Sport was the values which were based the MP YOUTH.
Some International Youth Organizations were invited to took part on the event. The Hitler Jugend, the Italian GIL, the Spanish Phalange Youth, were the only ones that took part....

Here some photos of the Camps....

I don't know yet how many National Camps were made during all Fascist Years of regime.
The only thing I know is that most of them were made between 1937-1945....

As far as I know they took place in the following years: 1937, 1938, 1939,1944, 1966 (the 7TH Camp), which means that the majority were made during the War years....

Like the HJ and the Italian Gil, the MP had also their Camp Distintives, for each year...to be given to all members that took part in the camp.

Hi,

MP Monitor distintive with one "triangle"

The tiangle is in gold in honor to the brilliant Portuguese history, since 1140, when Portugal started to be a Nation as is still today.
As a Nation Portugal is on of the oldest countries in Europe.

The "blue waves" means the sea...in memory to the Old Portuguese Sailors, that discovered the World between centuries XIV-XVI.
