ambulant is normally abbreviated amb. without the capital A.

The only Amb. I can find is Ambulanz - Ambulance! This is normally Krankenwagen or Krankenkraftwagen however.....could this be a possibility with him being a driver!

Then of course, does it actually say Amb? Just looking at the m in Amb. and Komp. they do differ somewhat.......could it be Ausb. Komp. Stobberg?

Are there any other clues in the Soldbuch, pay, leaves etc?

No other clues with this entry.

But Ausb. would make sense.

Thanks for the ideas.

I tried to find "Stobberg" but there it is only "Stolberg" - a town with a Kaserne. But you find "Stobberg" for about three times written in the SB.

I could not find a town/village in Germany with the name "Stobberg".

It seems that a person not very trained in German language has written the text.
So also "Ausb:" could have changed in "Amb".

It is only one "Stobberg" in the WP, sorry. I mixed it up with the different pics..
