The answer is YES. Eickhorn did almost everything. Go one page back and you'll see one

Shroud Line

Hello,
The lanyard looks like a shroud line that was braided. The cord looks similar to what is found on cargo and drag chutes. The line is a little different than what is used on personnel chutes.
Issued or Soldier made, either way if it is a shroud line, it's fitting for the knife.

Ok?
Dear friends,
I have gone trough the past post and I have some concerns... In a post by "oldnewbie" 26th July 2009 He shows two gravity knifes ,from left no1 and no4, that makes me worried... The blade and handle seems mismatched... Hope to get some clarification!
Best regards,
MWL, Sweden

Number one and four from the left…I´ll hope I´m wrong and proved to be an idiot, but these "Fliegerkappmessers" don´t seem to be right... If not genuine we will have a serious problem... Small deatails, should they be reviled?
Regards,
mwl

I have a blued SMF take down, serial number 932, that is in near mint condition. I picked it up as part of an estate sale and initially didn't know what it was (aviation items are my area of expertise).
But with all of the legal considerations varying state by state and country to country - how does someone go about safely offering an item like this for sale?
Thanks!

Gravity Knife RBNr
Looking at buying a takedown gravity knife and wanted some thoughts and opinions on authenticity. I'm new to the forum so can't attach pictures but can email videos and pictures of the knife if you pm an email address.
Here are the details:
It's a takedown model with RBNr. 0/0561/0020 on the blade and the eagle of the 5 on the spike. It's got an arrow showing the direction of how to take the knife down. Can't tell if the rivets are steel, bronze or copper to authenticate it that way. There is some wear on the knife that seems pretty consistent. Now for the thing that scares the crap out of me, the SN marking on it is just "1" under the flip switch and on the side of it. I've never heard of a single digit numbered gravity knife, usually 2 digits on the non-takedown models and 3 on the takedown models.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to either buy the knife knowing it's right or leave it knowing it's a fake. Hurts too much getting burned.

question
Maybe this is a silly question, but what is the main used of the gravity knife and especially the spike?
Which units have been equipped first with the gravity knives – aircraft crews or paratroopers?
