Excellent display my friend!

And I'm not sure how I missed this thread, I think I've seen all your others, but this one is just great! You've got a wonderful collection room! Nice to see the surroundings to that beautiful desk!

Hello-

I am just now looking at your pages of collection items-fantastic.

Of the combat/original paintings--what is the battle/subject matter?
The second painting appears to have a futuristic motif.

Thanks-

Enzian

All of the paintings were made by my grandfather during the war...

The anglo-french institute in Mexico commissioned him, since he was a known painter, to make propaganda posters for the war effort. After the war the original material was discarded and he rescued some of it, and kept it to give it to me some day...

The material he had for reference was limited so he used his imagination a lot, so the motive in that photo is war time and the future after victory, that is how he thought a car would look in the future......

I still have the original paintings, some of the period posters that show the original art and some magazines where it was also published.....

Example:

Original art:

Original magazine with the painting as motive..

I still have the bosquejo (draft) of that painting and had an original period poster with that painting, but gave it as a present to my brother in law, I will ask him for a photo of it to complete the thread..

but here is another of his paintings in a period poster:
