MAS troops if I'm not mistaken, dressed in camo as fashionable during the RSI era
wearing typical Marines style berets

How about this Motley crew of Alpinis, it looks like they just rolled in from a bad night of drinking in the mountains. The other abnomolies withstanding check out his camo vest with mag pockets on the guy with the chianti bottles. Lots of stuff to find in this picture.

GREAT image, note the Wehrmacht belts and Gladius collar insignia!
and Black Brigade (Brigate Nere) skulls added!
(small one with dagger in mouth and large one!)
So much to see and study in this image, like (as you already stated)
the camo vest with the Baretta mag pouches stitched on!
Fantastic!

years ago in Corsica. PaoloM

the #140 shows a group of NP (Nuotatori Paracadutisti) of the X^ Mas
with M.1941 grey green wool berets. This beret, except the badge, was
identical , during the pre-armistice period, for San Marco, R.Army paratroops
and X Rgt Arditi. PaoloM

Dennis S: GREAT photos, thanks for sharing! That goes to all of you, this is a great thread!
Here's an officer of the "Tagliamento", March 1945; it's actually the legionnaire from post # 97, now without his beard:

YES and now he wears his gladios on his collar instead of his " M Battalion " honor badges , which are now worn as a single over his right breast pocket.

Yes, it's a yellowish Lictory fascio.Probably those helmets were remainders
of the pre-25 July or pre-Armistice period. PaoloM
