Default DDR Photobook Schulter an Schulter

Those who know me already from the DDR page, will know that I have quite a collection of the photobooks published by the DDR to celebrate its tropps.
The latest addition is a bilingual (German-Russian) publication celebrating the eternal friendship between the NVA and the GSSD. I shall publish on the DDR page the photographs that are relevant for the NVA and here the Soviet uniforms ones.
As you know I recently got into M69 uniforms. I was interested to notice my own (woollen) uniform being used in some kind of barrack situation:

But the difference in colour with the cotton M69 used as a field uniform is rather striking, as exemplified here by the officer's uniform (I presume in the same cloth) and the soldiers' ones:

A very staged photograph that again shows the lighter shade of the field uniforms. Whether they were this light to start off with, they were bleached in the wash or the DDR printing technology was not that great... it is a bit hard to establish now...

The normal day of an NVA soldier would start with early morning sport = Frühsport. It apperas that the Soviet (and indeed many other armies) did the same thing... But whilst an NVA soldier would have been issued with sport clothes (admittedly horrible ) and a pair of tennis shoes... his Soviet Waffenbruder had to dispense with such frivolous niceties... but could, on the other hand, rely on musical accompaniment to his exertions...

I am not sure what I prefer...

I think this picture was made on a display or show. I have some original soviet army Sports Dresses. Blue shorts and white sleveless shirts.
