Hi Martin,

Yes he's a tough old Swordsholder

Must admit i've never been sure why Waldermar hasn't attracted more attention from Historians , a combat level Infantry Swords Winner by 1943 who survived the ferocious combat in Southern Russia !! Amazing !!

Hi Paul,

how are you???

Indeed, amazing how he survived and what a brilliant achievement receiving his KC + O + S in almost 1 year. His nickname was something like "der Schreck der Kaukasus".....the fear of the Caucasus.

Perhaps his wife gets him away from the historicans?!

Best

I guess you're right, but she cannot do this anymore. She's even more fragile than him now. I saw the "Terror of Caucasus" again this year. He's now very weak, but still walks on his on feet (with the help of a wheeled walker). Gaza signed all the photos and books people asked him to.

Now that you guys mentioned, I'd love to read or see some special material on Gaza. What a sharp warrior!

Hi Julio,

I still remember the occasion when the german national anthem was played, everyone stood up, but "Gaza" had some difficulties standing up. I stood beside him and gave him a help with me arm. He did NOT want to sit

Still a sharp and clear mind, he has.

Truly wonderful to see that these men love and respect their country so much! Raising for their national anthem eventough they have alot of difficulties with walking or standing
