Very nice example of italian 1930/40 Marus summer flying tunic in two pieces: is less common than the one in one piece.
And the googles should be made by Protector, arent't they?
thanks for sharing.

Hi Fabio, this set is been found by a friend of mine in an attic of an old house in Bologna few days ago, all is from the same man, there is the summer helmet too, the googles were found with the set.
I think I will take it to complete a mannequin with my salvator D39

Nice and very interesting Marus summer pilot's clothing, Luca!It should be
one of the various white lighter Marus versions issued in East or North Africa
approx 1938-1940. They existed also the long overall white versions with the same cut on the upper part and zips.
These were worn also for flight with 'mehara' type sandals as those below
(even if the ones shown were owned by a former para Officer of the Folgore,
but they were basically the same for Army and Air Force).Ciao PaoloM
Hi, Luca!
Very nice suit, indeed! It belonged to a pre-war production, probably from the middle/late 30s, when the cut wasn't still standardized and it can carried different feature as the shape and the number of the pockets. Your jacket have only breast zipped pocket, but is not difficult see with one or two slashed pocket, zipped or not and in different position on the breast. It don't have the shoulder boards, made in the same white canvas, typical feature of the latest models.
Hi Paolo ! this is my first visit to this forum! I have never seen this kind of helmet could you contact me in order to know more on it?
Thanks

Hi Alberto ! Welcome here!! Well I've not too much to say about the latest
posted photo of that summer flying helmet. Almost surely it dates back to the
30's and probably also it is not Italian made, but used for sure by an Italian
hidro pilot. That's all what I know. Cheers, PaoloM
