New fleamarket pickup, Kappmesser
Hello
Today I had luck again. I found a nice Fallschirmjäger Kappmesser on the fleamarket, and in cause the blade was damaged the woman gave it to me for 10 Euros, I think that is a good price.
It is the second model.
Can anyone say anything about the knife, accordng to all the stamps.
One time it is 778 stamped, inside once 555 and then R.B.NR. 0/0561/0019
Thanks for the help.
cheers Buckeru

Great Find.....she practically gave it away to you. That is the breakdown type so the blade can be removed...replaced or repaired.

It certainly is an original! Nice find!
I think I saw an extremely well-made fake at the Max, which isn't a good thing.
BTW, it is a Flieger knive, not a FJ one. Used by the FJs most definitely, but not intended or designed for them.

get back and find some more
That is a great find,a take down in UK would fetch near £300 even with a broken tip,I would say go back and do some more digging.Did the seller say how she came to have it,you might be able to do some research as to the owner.

Thats a SMF Type II Knife - don't repair or replace anything, leave it the way it is! I would give you £200 for it now!
Cheers Mike

Hello comrades
I did that what you all told me, I phoned the woman (I took here number on the fleamarket) and aksed if she found something more snd so she offered me to visit here. Now I also know the whole story where the stuff came from.
The neighbour was an old veteran she doesn´t know his unit aso but she has all his stuff in a lot of boxes stored, and when I say a lot I mean not 10 or 15 boxes, a lot more.
So I started to search for hidden treasures and I really found something.
2 pionier demolition bags in good condition, an original KuK cooking pan model 1912, and damaged airforce breadbag and a few civilian stuff like an painting, porcelain aso. She gave me the military stuff for 5 euros. But we will keep on searching, and there are a lot of boxes left! Next time!
Hope something else while appear!
Alsi all the other civlian stuff wasn´t very expensive. The whole trip costs me 65 euros
I will post pictures of the bags later!
cheers buckeru
