Question What Uniforms do these guys wear? Freikorps?

Does anyone know if these guys are wearing Freikorps uniforms or what these patches on their upper sleeves are? Cheers, Torsten.

closer close up .... you can see the patches on both his sleeves and also, the shoulder boards are kind of thin bands, rather then boards...

the reverse side of the photograph bears the address of a Neu-Ruppin photographer.

Hi Torsten,

not Freikorps, but direct behind this period.

Vorläufige Reichswehr/Vorläufiges Reichsheer/Übergangsheer 1919 -1921:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichswehr

http://www.feldgrau.com/main1.php?ID=1

http://www.axishistory.com/index.php?id=532

The left soldier is an Unteroffizier (1 Winkel), the right soldier is a Vizefeldwebel (3 Winkel).

The thin band on the shoulder is a Schulterschnur as silver braiding (mattsilbern).

The patches are Armscheiben or Armspiegel, career patches with different colours and signs.

Regards
Uwe
