Hi guys, I'm usually only into WWII german, but I figured for the $50.00 I paid it might be worth it, I know nothing about Japanese items, but I did get the Paperwork, I do know it's a Nagoya made firearm, year? any idea of value, no, it does not have the Mum, it was ground off, yes all the parts match, only missing the cleaning rod, and I have the Vets paper work when he brought it home in 1946
Thanks,
Kevin
You did good for $50.
Interesting they omitted the serial # on the papers.
I have a pistol with magazine number used instead of pistol number.
Xtra nice stock.
Believe this was transitional period where they began leaving off the 'pod and sight wings.
HI MikeP,
Like I said, I'm only into WWII german, got this from a Vets Son, Today, he wanted to know if I bought WWII japanese money too, but I was just out for the rifle, and paperwork. the bore is clean and is good with plenty of bore markings left. what would be a good trade off price for this piece and Paperwork? I've got someone interested in trading WWII germqn for it locally, just what should a value be asked in trade?
Regards,
KEVIN
This is just my opinion... I'd say the Rifle is worth $225.00 - $250.00. The mum is ground off and it is a later model. Also consider the condition of the bore, bolt and screws which cannot be ascertained by the photo. The paperwork I would say $40.00. I have watched auctions on ebay for just the "capture papers" but they always end early so someone may have a different estimate than I.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the info on the rifle, I find very few Japanese items around my area, don't know why, mostly German, so this was a good change.
Thanks again,
Kevin
Hi All,
Around this area that rifle would bring about $150-175 tops. It seems that as I collected for 40 plus years I saw much more Jap. items than Ger.
Yours,

Hi Terry,
That's why I'm trading it off to a local Japanese collector, he's willing to give me some decent german pieces, he picked up, and they are worth more than a couple hundred bucks, I figure I'm ahead of the game.

Kevin
