Hello,
what is this ?
This blade is from a friend who found it last week in the attic of his father in law. The father in law says it came from his father but has no idea to it.
I'm not into German daggers myself but it should be a SS dagger since it has
"Meine Ehre heißt Treue" inscribed on one side of the blade. The thing i don't understand is the other side.
It says "In Herzlicher Freundschaft, Ernst Rohm". This is for SA daggers.
Hi some of the early ss daggers had the Röhm dedication and they are pretty rare. If it was all complete and in good shape I think it would cost around 10-15000 $
But I´m not sure what the blade alone is worth in this condition also I don´t know if the dedication is original. The reason I say I´m not sure is that I don´t know much about these inscriptions and we will need more knowledgeable collectors to help here
Cheers
Lars
The blade appears to be a reproduction Rohm dedication one. That Eickhorn logo is not good from what I can see. The blade is in to poor condition to tell anything else.

Are there any markings on the blade tang? The tang is the tail of the blade that extends out with the threads on the end. The Eick logo appears to be stamped over some scratches on the blade itself which seems odd.
You said it was your friend's father in law's piece, was he or someone in his family an SS member? I'm curious why someone would have an SS Rohm dedication blade only when it appears someone attempted to grind the dedication off.
