Default Original Uniforms In Films

Hi everyone
after my successful posting of interest in the film "decision before dawn" that had original uniforms in, I guess a lot of films made post war used original uniforms the most recent I can think of is the Russian film "come and see" made in 1985 and about the Nazi policy of annihilation in the Republic of Byelorussia( now known as Belorus) a very dramatic film that shows the true horrors of war in the east. all or most of the uniforms in this film seem to be original and one wonders what became of the fate of the original owners of these uniforms? But we can all guess the likely fate of most of these men. See the stills from this film below. also still from

the german film "Hunde"

the German film "Die Brucke"

"the Bridge at Remagen"

Bet you all can think of films that used original uniforms like the reversible camouflage Parker's in the film "Where Eagles Dare" and the "eagle has landed"
what other films??

I agree "Come and See" is a very good movie. When I was watching it, I felt like I was physically there. This movie like no others gives you a correct picture of the real war. Originally I am from Russia and I must to admit that everything showed in this movie is truth. SS troops simply annihilated everyone and everything on their way. During the war, Russian civilians were killed four times more than Army personnel, and blah blah blah.
Anyway I like these pictures.

Yes, it is in Russian but there are subtitles in English. I found this movie in a local library, but I am sure, it is available in the international section of a rental movie shop. Prepare yourself for very unusual movie. It is not like some kind of an adventure or action movie. It is really horror movie.

Hi All,
Sorry, but I think most of those uniforms are made up. The SS officer in the first one is crapy and has a bad chin strap, the NCO in the second has the same uniform with modern glasses on, the NCO from "Die Brucke" looks Austrian to me, maybe original, as do the others in that movie. The soldiers with the overcoats on look to be wearing W. German M-43's and the Army looking smocks in the other pic shows hoods, which is possible but look made up. I think your movies made in the 1950's have a good chance of having real uniforms in them, like "Stalingrad" , with German and Rumanian ones in it.
