How Many German Cross Holders Were In The Bundeswehr?
Gentlemen,
Approximately how many German Cross in Gold Holders were in the Bundeswehr? Also the German Cross in Silver Holders? It seems that nobody had took the time to find out how many of the German Cross holders had served in the post-WWII German Federal Republic Armed Forces. I knew that four-star general Jurgen Bennecke of the Bundesheer had won both the German Cross in Silver and that of the Gold during WWII when he was an Oberstleutnant. There is no website that I could find that has to do with German Cross holders. I'm trying to do some research on the postwar lives of the German Cross holders who never won the Knight's Cross.
Sincerely,
Edward

Anything About the DKiG or DKiS Holders Postwar?
Gentlemen,
I know there were much information about the Knight's Cross holders in the Bundeswehr. Surely there supposed be something about the Wehrmacht veterans who won either the Gold or Silver of the German Cross but didn't win the Knight's Cross that severed in the Bundeswehr. I already knew about the Bundeswehr generals and admirals that won the Gold or Silver of the German Cross.

Still Wondering?
Gentlemen,
I was also thinking about the German Cross (Silver and Gold) holders that went on to serve the Austrian Armed Forces of post-WWII. Not much is known about them I suppose. The German Cross holders in the Bundeswehr had supposely outnumbered the Knight's Cross holders who were in the same West German Armed Forces.

Were Austrians even allowed to wear the Bundeswehr reissue medals?

By the way:
"492 Ritterkreuztrager continued their service in the German military after World War II".
