Here is another pic I have always liked, maunly for the expressions. RKT Gunther Hannak. I believe this to have been taken in his home town after he was awarded the RK, with the local NSDAP functionaries and HJ leaders in attendance. I thinkt he two elderly people behind Hannak are most likely his parents. Hannak looks a bit dazed, while the others appear overjoyed.

Another one of my favorites ...

This is Meinhard Rosenmuller. This photo has been posted before and is an original. Rosemuller is actually shown here as a retired Major. He was an Observer in WW1, CO of FFA24 (commanding Max Immelmann among others) and, of course, won a hose of medals.

Now how's that for a ribbon bar and badges/medals!

These are not your typical WWII military shots but there's just something about them...

Maybe it's the fact that my 12 year old and I love to go to Air Shows and Military shows with static displays or mock battles. But none of them have ever had this type of display, not even the San Diego Navy Seal shows on July 4th. I guess I just wish I was one of these kids.

Default Interesting HG Div. Tiger Photo

My favorite photo, to date... interestingly enough when this photo is examined close up several of the officers have Luft Eagles on their jackets and tunics, however the soldier to the extreme left has a Heer Eagle on his.

Hi,
nice thread! I've 2 favorite photos, you can see them under the link:
http://it.photos.yahoo.com/rijkardt
in the file "favorite".

One is a Sturmgeschütze soldier in Italy wearing (what I think to be) a black shirt of the MVSN, and camo pants made of italian camo cloth.

The other is also interesting, it an NCO SS-Panzermann wearing the Deutschland cufftitle and a belt buckle from the Heer! (he also has an Infanterie Sturmabzeichen) I think he was in the Heer at the beginning of the war.

Hope you enjoy them!
