--Yep, `at's right - Brooklyn, New York.
--I figured I'd throw these on the Imperial forum instead of Die Kniepe as there are Hessians in there.
--As The Battle of La Belle Alliance is called Waterloo, The Battle of Brooklyn is usually called The battle of Long Island. Why? Because the British named their victories however they liked, I guess. It seems to me that they named them after the place where their headquarters was located, does that sound right?
--We got our asses kicked that day, but Washington's army WAS able to escape to Manhattan intact. It was also the first time the two armies squared off 'European style'.
Obviously it didn't go over well, so we did these things 'American style' afterwards until Von Steuben straightened things out a bit.
--Anyway, it was a good show in Prospect Park. I was happy to see so many spectators, and there were a lot! It made the future LOOK a little less bleak, it is not as famous a battle as it should be. I can go on and on about this one, but I'll spare ya.

--Here are the pics, they are of Colonial, British Grenadier and Hessian Jager troops, respectively. Somehow, I wound up behind those demonic Hessians as they rolled up the American position...How`d that happen?
