Default Klein & Quenzer Wound Badge in Silver, opinions?

This is one of the two badges which I picked up last weekend from a show in Belgium.
I like the badge but I would really appreciate to hear your views on it.
The other badge is a General Assault Badge and I will post it in a different thread.
Thanks for any opinions,
Pascal

Dear Pascal,

Perfectly ok and still very nice for a zinker. Your GAB is ok as well.

Cheers, Frank

Hi Frank and Pascal - I thought it was a butmetall one. It seems that I cannot make the difference between the two. All badges I have are zinc and have a dark grey colour. Because of the shiny colour of this badge and the heavy weight (I hold it in my hand in Antwerp) I thought this was buntmetall.

Hi Volkbert,

This type of hinge/pin/catch assembly is indicative of a zinc badge. Although most of the finish is noce on this example, you can clearly see the zinc starting to show on the left hand reverse side (ie the darkening).

Regards

Pascal,
Your Silver "65" is the exact duplicate of mine. My finish is slightly more worn on the front however. Yours is a very nice "zinker". Hope it gives you years of enjoyment.

Jeremiah
