I have an IK 1st marked L-15 and I am interested in comments on the originalty of this cross. I know that there is a lot of information about the Floch items and in particular those marked L-15 however, my cross has many differences from the specific notations and flwas as noted adn described in the "IK Floch" article and could mine be a ligitamate period L-15? Would you please render your thoughts and opinions? Attached are several photos of my IK where each photo is indexed according to the relevant page on the IK article in discussion. I will list my findings and thoughts in numerical order related the article and the associated attached photos and give my thoughts as elementary as they may be.
I am thanking all very kindly regardless of any potential adverse comments or out come.
Best regards,
John Pepera
# 7 – My IK does not have the flat area at the top of the pin next to the hinge block.
# 9 – My IK does not have the ‘clipped’ end of the pin.
# 10 – My IK ‘C’ catch is perfect and precise unlike the item shown in the article as having imperfections and mold flaws.
# 11 – My IK does not have the small pellets as shown in either the top or lower areas.
# 12 – My IK does not have the ’lines’ either at the top or the lower areas of the item as shown.
# 20 – My swaz. is equal to the top edge of the beaded section. Not lower or higher than the beads.
# 21 – My IK does not have the pyramidal edges to the swaz. as show.
# 27 – My L 15 is clear and precise again, not as the example shown.
Front and back both indicate that it's a EK made by Floch, although there could be some small differences in Floch pieces (I don't know, but believe the finding you wrote down), 90%+ will be the some. I know the "famous" hinge catch setup of Floch, but I don't always know directly if it's a Floch. The front takes away all the doubt I could have. I don't have the see the back if I saw the front of this cross first.
The low date and the kind of numbers used and the overall look (some kind of rust on the core where the beading is) tells me right away that it's bad.
I hope this helps you.
Best regards, Thomas

Hi all,
I've had one of my EK2's, an unmarked, magnetic, unpainted (Iron core?) and non-frosted, for years and never bothered to work out the maker . Now I've read this thread, I recognised some of the characteristics and dug out the Cross. Low and behold, it looks like an unmarked Souval .
