Differences between Wartime & Postwar Reichsbahn collar tabs
Here is a comparison between the two styles of German Railway BeVo collar tabs. The postwar style was officially adopted in 1948 for use by the Reichsbahn in the Western Zones of Germany.
Notice the subtle design differences and color variation. The gold embroidery is more "bronze" in the postwar design.
I bet Michael Aubin has a lot of stuff that he hasn't shared with us yet. How about it?
Sincerely,
Diane

Hi Guys,
This is the only piece I have that has to do with the Reichsbahn - a Female Railway Staff Service Badge, silver class. I can't remember seeing too many of these around. If my memory serves me, I believe these were circa 1944.

Hello Pete,
difficult to say because your pics are dark but it seems to be the 1924-35 Reichsbahn tunic. Here is pic of one with its original pre 1935 tabs.
Yours seems to have received the post 1936 tabs (period done ?) but never the new shoulderboards !
hope this helps...

Shoulder boards
Dear Reichsbahn experts,
may any of you explain to me or give me a hint to a reference file about those shoulder boards "Major - style" (2 bottom loops and 5 side loops) completely in blue with blue/yellow upper underlay and blue bottom underlay? I can find those in no reference file and also could find no explanation for the ranks they are meant for.
Thank you very much in advance!
Best regards
Hajo

Reichbahn Rank title and pay grades
Hello Hajo,
Do you mean these shoulder boards?
http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=140393&page=2
Perhaps RBD PAris / Micharl Aubin can provide us with a list of ranks & pay grades? It is such a complicate subject!
Here are some collar tabs from my collection:
I will post some more later.
Cheers,
Diane

Some rare Reichbahn Collar tabs
Hey Railway fans!
Here are two early Reichsbahn collar tabs circa 1924-36 followed by a 1942 pattern without the swastika!

I would really like to know the history of the last pair. I examined them closely and there has never been a swastika embroidered onto the material. The pair came to me unissued (from factory stock) with thread holding them together.
Perhaps Michael Aubin can explain them?
Thanks for looking!
Diane
