here is a new item and new beginning of my 1939 related collection, from now on I will collect only pre 1940 items
hard to find mint stuff from early war - but its a bit challenging and quality of early items in unmatched.

here is my latest addition, 1937 dated M36 artillery tunic, unaltered walk-out, enjoy

Glad to see it go to a good home and out on display. It spent far too long shut away in my cupboard not being seen by anyone.

here is another Polish Campaign related uniform that some of You may recognize from uniform forum. there is a cool story to it... as much as this is a VERY rare untouched 1939 made uniform in its originall configuration and Pioniere waffenfarbe - this uniform was hanging on online auction with BUY NOW option for a few days... nobody took it thinking it maybe a fake .. or scam...
I guess I have to go to some online auction sites more often

Very nice rogatywka. Enlisted ones are more difficult to find than officer, due to the fact that they were mostly issued and reissued to recruits by the army not privately purchased. Not many EM could afford to buy one. Yours is sergeant, which is even rarer. My guess would be that yours was privately purchased, which makes sense, since your grand daddy was career NCO with 20 years of service. I based my opinion on the quality of the liner which tells me it was private tailor made. I had two issued EM ones in the past and they had lower quality grade liner.

thanks Jack !!
it is indeed a private purchase , I remember there was a green tag with Warsaw based manufacturer.. yet I lost it years ago when I was a kid...
My grandfathers unifors was burned in fireplace by grandmother when I was like 5 yrs old - she said there was too many moths on it...
