Default MINT K98 Pouch Value?

What would members suggest the going rate is for a pair of original MINT, and I mean MINT K98 pouches?
I have a pair made by KARL ACKVA Lederwaren Bad Kreuznach, early pattern, but interestingly not dated.
I have NEVER seen a better pair. I bought these many years ago.
I am in the process of updating my collection valuation.
Any help would be much appreciated.
RAY.

Outstanding! Make no mistake, the days of the "common mint K-98 pouch" are long over. The last matching pair like this I acquired was 15 years ago or more, and I'm ever on the lookout.

Early pouches with the white stitching, in this condition, would not surprise me if they fetched $400+ on eBay.

These pouches came from a dealer in the Portobello Road about 1970.
He had a whole box full, all tied together in pairs.
I picked out the best pair. I wish I had bought the whole box now.
In those days mint 3rd Reich items were almost 2 a penny.
Only when you hold a pair of these in the hand do you appreciate the sheer quality of the workmanship.
Regards,
RAY.

I agree they are nice "minty" K98k pouches.....However they are transitional pouches.....They aren't the earliest style of these.....Earliest ones would've been completely stitched......These particular ones use rivets too....Later they went completely with rivets to hold together.....To the right collector, they would bring a nice price......Bodes

Hello Bodes,
Thanks for the info about my pouches.
As transitional pouches, what would their likely date of manufacture be?
I have always assumed from the construction and quality that these are no later than 1939.
Regards, RAY.

Ray, I'm sure there are guys who could narrow down the timeline better than myself......I personally have one that is completely stitched dated 1941.....And one all riveted dated 1942.....So my guess would be somewhere between the 1941-42 timeline......Bodes
