Hi all:
Can you provide me with some titles and authors of good books on personal accounts/ collections of accounts of German (Wehrmacht and/or Waffen SS) soldiers during WW2?
Thanks...Ernst

These authers are good too if you are interested in Hitler Youth:

Alfons Heck. "A child of Hitler" and "the burden of Hilters legacy" In these books which are very similar Alfonse Heck Becomes a very powerful Hitler youth leader. With some active duty in the whermacht at the end of the war.

Wolfgang W.E. Samuel: : "German Boy" This is a story about a boy living in Germany and reluctantly is conscripted into the Hitler Youth.

Jergen Herbst: "Requiem for a german past" Another Hitler Youth story.

My favorites are:

German Boy (listed above)
Forgotten Soldier (Guy Sajer)
Black Edelweise (Johann Voss)
But Not For The Fuehrer
I'm not at home so I can't list the other author's name.
