After an evening of sampling the fine selection from the fridge...next morning there is a nice breakfast waiting for you!

I'm sure you've seen plenty of shots of what's left of the berghof (like this one, you can see someone's name carved in the wall)... and I've got lots, but...

If you can find this marble plaque, then you can find the antique store that sold me the EK II that started this thread.

If you go down there, check out the Konigsee....I thought it would be touristy, but it was great. Check out the clarity of the water.

The boats are run by batteries, almost inaudible.

If I remember correctly, this was built by monks in the 11th century, used as a hunting lodge by kings in the 16th century and visited by freaks like me in the 21st century!

Welp, I'd better call it a night and say ... Auf Weiderschnitzel.
Hope you enjoyed the small tour.

Great photos, thanks All being well I will be there in August and I can't wait! My last visit there was in the very early '90's and we also stayed at the "Turken". What a place! I never did take photos of the rooms, have you got any? (keep it clean, if you must ). If I remember well the bedroom doors open out onto the corridor, which is quite unusual....looked more like a prison or soldiers barracks!
