Deactivated according to German specs? I wouldn't mind having one...but too big for my pocket.

Default Swiss G13

Yes, it's a postwar ex-Swiss Army G13. Looks like they want more money when stating it's a wartime Hetzer

Well, if the claim to chassis made in 1944 checks out it certainly qualifies as wartime production even though refurbished post war.

According to my official Swiss Army documents only the first 8 G13 had a Wartime Chassis number. None of these were given to collectors, either stayed in Switzerland or scrapped. All the later 150 G13 had a new chassis number starting with number "1".

Last one sold for 65000,00...with the original Praga.

There are currently 20+ projects like this available in various states...and all the owners are asking 130K+...knowing full well that 65K is the going rate...based on what sold 3 years ago.

All these collectors got them for free on the 1970's/1980's, when the Swiss was giving them away.

way to many available...too many people asking far too much...

Not a worthwhile investment at 90K, as it will cost 3 times that to restore it...and not really rare, as the market is flooded.

Are you referring to Hetzer's in general, or just the post-war G13's?

They won't have any trouble selling it, although as said clearly in G13 configuration at present.

I helped some friends to recover the last 2 out of switzerland, in 1992. Both had a wartime chassis.

I am referring to G13s

I know of only three original WW2 Hetzers with the PaK39 that are available in that condition.

Anyone bidding on that piece of crap is wasting their time and money for 90,000.

I can find a much better one in better condition for the same price... So if it sells it would always be going to a fool.

The one that sold for 65000 couple years back was heavily advertised and no one bought it. it's sad for years because no one was willing to pay the original asking price... So the owner kept dropping and dropping and dropping until finally someone grabbed.

About 8 years ago one that was more complete sold for $100000 USD. even with money to restore it, the project has stopped because they cannot find parts for it that are needed.

Almost all G13 Hetzers are wartime made and waffenamt stamped...it was only the last batch on the second order that were made new. all others were assembled with wartime parts.

I had the opportunity and money to buy one of the 20 that were available couple years ago... Even with the money to restore them... They are not worth it. The time and cost involved to restore a vehicle that is not German... That will never be German... Is a pain in the ass to maintain drive and transport...is not worth the money.

this is why there are over 20 available and no one's buying them.

All the large collectors who wanted one already have one...
