Default MG34 panzer werkzeug boxes

I have started seeing these boxes show up more frequently, usually they are in horrible shape, and abviously real because they are completely pitted like they were outside or submerged for years, and then someone repaints them over the pitted surface. On ebay now ive seen a couple of these in the last month. This last one looks odd to me on the wear and how the paint is gone on the outside but not inside from water or something? should be on inside and out? Anyways are people faking these now??

Hello Kevin,

That one looks good to me. Originals show up from time to time. I think it's just that people are more aware of what they are. Anyhow, some repros have been made, produced by a Rusian guy, member here. He sells via E-bay but cleary stating they are repros, and not too complete. If you would like one or need to complete one, just contact me, I'm quite experienced in restoring them:

Look, here's a link to this guy's Dmitry's shop in Ebay. If you type MG you'll get some of his repros. I can't see any MG Zubehör or Werkzeug boxes, but he does have two models of Gurtsack.
