Default Luftwaffe General Der Flieger Collar Tabs - Help Needed

Picked these up the other day in a museum store.. Really hoping they are authentic. I've made mistakes before but these look real in my eyes.

I need your expert opinions!

My advice to a young collector would be to start with more common items to get some hands-on experience with. The higher end items are always a minefield.

Thank you guys! It was a long shot with these, I guess I paid too much for them, I was told they were real from a museum and from what I could tell they looked real to me.... what are the signs that they are well made copies? how can you tell and are you 100% sure? Just trying to learn a little more so I don't do this next time... was really hoping they were real :/

The quality, and tightness of the bullion, the bullion its self, too loose and not quite the correct tone that period bullion has. The finishing of the piping where it meets also sloppy.

220 euros. kinda embarrassed. I got robbed later too. Oh well lessoned learned, I guess an expensive one though

I knew they were too cheap to be true..I had this gut feeling. They looked right to me though, and the fact that they were sold out of a museum store and the curator assured me it was original I guess it kinda convinced me they were real..

Make sure not to buy anything from the Battery Todt Museum in audighen France, they will rip you off -_-.

How much can I make back from these? 45 euro?

Best advice for any new collector. Many original items are cheap and plentiful and good to learn from.
