Panzer Gren. to my eye, but nice original private purchase (felt construction, basket weave type piping) shoulder straps. The tongues were likely removed.

Agree very nice Bn Sgt Magor's Pz Grenadier private purchase straps.
These saw extensive use during the war and have aged very well.

& by the way these are straps not boards which are for officers

Green is a color which seems to cause confusion among collectors. I have no doubt whatsoever that these straps have (slightly dingy) wiesengrun (grass green) piping for Panzergrenadier but it seems there are those are who are equally convinced that these are hellgrun (bright green) for Jager. It doesn't help that the Germans apparently substituted one color for the other in certain circumstances.

Thank you for your interest and the many opinions. I also thought that Panzergrenadier is a bit lighter in color ?

When in Wehrmacht Panzergrenadier have appeared shoulder straps with dark green didn't rush any more, shoulder straps of color of a military tunic have been accepted

I don't pretend to understand what it is you are saying but the straps you show are Pz. Gren. also. If you are saying that Pz. Gren. straps did not exist in the M-36 pattern, I respectfully disagree.

The old "50 shades of green" debate rages on! PZ Grn for me too. Nice in any event. Let me know when you want to sell them!
